Liverpool have their first signing!
Swiss defender Philipp Degen has finally signed a contract which takes him to Liverpool. "He is an offensive player with great energy and a winning mentality. His strength is going forward and I am confident he will be prove to be a quality addition to our squad." according to Liverpool's manager, Rafael Benitez.
Another of Liverpool's transfer targets, left-back Andrea Dossena, is likely to follow Phillip Degen's footsteps over the coming days.
Unfortunately, Aston Villa still refuses to sell their reliable captain, Gareth Barry. I wonder how long it would take before they relent....
There also seems to be a rumour going around that Tottenham Hotspurs' captain, Robbie Keane, has filed in a transfer request to Liverpool, I wonder if it's true or not. Rafael Benitez does seem intent on having someone partner the spanish hero, Fernando Torres.
